The Death of the Mall

Architecture, Interior, Photography

Photographer Seph Lawless captures dramatic photographs of the Rolling Acres Mall, Ohio. The images found here portray the abandoned mall in its current state; fallen snow covers the interior of the space and leaves one to wonder about what used to be. The  impressive photographs shed light on the current state of Malls in America and their steady decline with the economic downfall. Furthermore, the condition of these malls invites one to question the role the present architecture plays in the future built environment; what would happen to this mall? would it be reused, or completely destroyed?
